Solis’s figures suggest that there is only one major social-networking site that is predominantly male: Digg. I know you’ll recoil uncontrollably when I tell you that Digg appears to be 64 percent male.
Perhaps the most extraordinary numbers come from MySpace. Somehow, the rather messy nature of the site, the tradition of an excess of spam and porn, might suggest that this was a male-oriented (slightly sleazy males, some might imagine) haven.

“We are also concerned with how these principles are applied to wireless networks,” Tauke said in an interview. “The wireless business is very different from the wireline business, so it’s difficult to apply regulations made for wireline networks to wireless networks.”
Genachowski has proposed adding two new principles. The fifth would prevent Internet access providers from discriminating against particular Internet content or applications, while allowing for reasonable network man

In a statement, a Microsoft representative said the show–a variety show to be done by Alex Borstein and Seth MacFarlane–was not “a fit with the Windows brand.” Microsoft had hoped to use the show to tout its just-released Windows 7 operating system.
Microsoft had announced plans earlier this month to present the Fox TV special.
“We initially chose to participate in the Seth and Alex variety show based on the audience composition and creative humor

ComScore on Wednesday released October viewing statistics for online video. And although there weren’t any surprises at the top, the figures did provide some interesting insight into how users are consuming video on the Web.
According to the research firm, more than 167 million U.S.-based Web users watched video online during October. All told, they watched 28 billion videos. Google easily led the pack, servicing a whopping 38 percent of all videos Americans viewed online, with

“We live in a celebrity-obsessed culture, so it’s no surprise that teens admire famous entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs and Oprah Winfrey, who have built brands around their personas as well as around their products,” Jack Kosakowski, president of Junior Achievement USA, said in a statement.
Of those who chose Jobs, 61 percent selected the iPod god because he “made a difference in/improved people’s lives or made the world a better place.” An overwhelming 85 percent who selected Winf

Both the AT&T and Nokia suits cite an investigation of display panel price-fixing by the U.S. Justice Department.
The lawsuit, filed Nov. 25 in San Francisco, is based on federal and state antitrust claims. Nokia is seeking unspecified damages, as well as an injunction that would bring a halt to the alleged collusion.
